For your trellis and low walls, choose those normally light types of climbers. An example is the Clerodendrum Thomsoniae or commonly known as bleeding heart. For long pergolas and roof tops, you can have heavy climbers like Allamanda Cathartica. Another heavy climber is Wisteria Sinensis which is a woody, deciduous, perennial climbing vine with shiny and green leaves arranged into a pinnate compound. The flowers are colored white, blue or violet and the blossom usually reach its peak in mid-May.

For porches, climbers which produce flowers in sunlight exposure are best, like the Ipomoea Horsfalliae and Clerodendrum Splendens. On the other hand, Clerodendrum Splendens have green oval leaves that are arranged in opposite pairs. The flowers have slender tubes with an abruptly expanded corolla and scarlet in color (sometimes white).
